The Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine is pleased to announce the opening of the new exhibition “Golden Kyiv” in the Museum Residence. This is a unique project combining fine art and jewelry inspired by our city, its history, culture and beauty.
The exhibition presents more than forty works from the Museum’s collection — paintings that reflect Kyiv in its various manifestations. Visitors can see how Kyiv looked in different eras, how its appearance changed and how the spirit of the city remained unchanged. Among the authors are outstanding artists who found inspiration in the capital of Ukraine. The works of Serhii Shishko, Mykola Hlushchenko, Borys Mykhaylov, Larisa Godunova and many other masters convey the emotions, atmosphere and beauty of Kyiv, its landscapes and architecture.
The jewelry part of the exhibition is represented by exquisite products of the Kyiv Jewelry Factory, which is celebrating its 88th anniversary this year. The factory’s jewelry has long become a symbol of quality and craftsmanship, preserving traditions and adding modern style to them. Thanks to techniques, in particular diamond carving, jewelry has a special sophistication. All visitors to the exhibition will be able to see and, if desired, purchase exclusive jewelry inspired by the capital.
The project “Golden Kyiv” is not just an exhibition, but a deep history of Kyiv, reproduced through the prism of painting and jewelry art. The opening of the exhibition aroused great interest, and we are sincerely glad to welcome everyone who wants to get to know the different sides of our capital.
