Live lecture “Secrets of exquisite jewelry of the 19th century.”

The museum continues the art project “Conversations about Art” in an offline format
Date of the event: November 16 (Saturday) the lecture “Secrets of exquisite jewelry of the 19th century” will be held.
The museum invites you to an interesting and fascinating lecture on the history of jewelry of the 19th century. What were the favorite ornaments of the beautiful ladies of those times? How did motifs and images change in exquisite jewelry? What unexpected materials were used to make jewelry? We will discuss these and other topics at the lecture, viewing jewelry images on a large screen. You will be surprised how many fashion trends of that time have survived to this day!
This lecture was created specifically for the “Golden Kyiv” exhibition dedicated to the 88th anniversary of the Kyiv Jewelry Factory, which is currently underway at the Museum. Therefore, after getting acquainted with ancient jewelry, we will be able to admire modern gems from KYUZ, which are widely represented in the exposition. And during a short excursion, we will get acquainted with paintings from the museum collection, which vividly present the image of Golden Kyiv. Then we’ll continue chatting about fine art over a glass of wine and a sweet treat. Visit our cozy art center for pleasant emotions and aesthetic feelings!
The lecturer is Kateryna Tarchevska, cultural expert, art critic, author of materials about culture and art in periodicals and catalogs.
