«Сімейні цінності – Родинні зв’язки»: «Коткови»

The museum project “Family Values - Family Ties” continues, and we once again draw attention to one of the most prominent artistic dynasties – the Kotkov family. The new exhibition opens up new facets of the work of Ernest, Valentina and Igor Kotkov, expanding our understanding of their artistic heritage.

The exhibition combines works from the museum collection, as well as works donated by a family friend, collector Andrey Khokhlov, Ernest Kotkov’s son – artist Igor Kotkov, and a close friend of the family Nellie Vasilyeva. Many of the works presented are exhibited for the first time, which makes this exhibition especially valuable for fans of Ukrainian art.

🔹 Ernest Kotkov is a landmark figure of Ukrainian monumental art. His works can be seen in iconic places in Kyiv: from the River Station to the Boryspil Airport. However, his paintings and graphic works reveal another side of the artist – philosophical, deep, emotional.

🔹 Valentina Kotkova is a textile artist who skillfully combined traditional techniques with modern aesthetic principles. Her chamber tapestries are full of warmth, harmony and inspiration.

🔹 Igor Kotkov is a representative of a new generation whose creative path has passed through animation and theatrical and decorative arts. His painting is filled with symbolism, the search for meanings and deep sensual motifs.

This exhibition is not only an opportunity to see the artists’ iconic works, but also to immerse yourself in their creative dialogue that continues through generations.

💫 Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the unique artistic history of the Kotkov family!

The exhibition is held with the support of the Serhiy Tsyupko Charitable Foundation.
