9th of December, 18:00: Museum of Modern Art of Ukraine, Alla Preobrazhenska is opening her own art project “Oh life, I love you!”.
The exposition features 17 works of art, created by the artist during 2010.
As explained by the fine art expert Galyna Skliarenko: “the works of Alla Preobrazhenska should not be linked to any of the art trends as her major art problem is in any way related to the “search” of herself in the enormous art space opening in front of her in the form of museum expositions, books, exhibitions. As she was brought up, just like the majority of her age mates, on the realistic painting ideas, she is using its principles of careful peering into the surrounding world and the ability to see its forms and meanings by taking the peculiarly interpreted “impressionistic” way where “impression” of what you have seen substitutes its main essence. Though her works are quite naturally featuring this kind of “childish painting” with its openness and impartiality which gives an especially bright and a bit of ironic sound to her paintings.
The works of Alla Preobrazhenska have been exhibited in more than ten exhibitions, to include the personal exhibition in Blanes (2003), Catalonia, Spain, participation in the major art presentations in the Butterfly Gallery of New Jersey (2010), International Exhibition fare “Art-Kyiv” in 2008, etc. During spring 2010, you could see her paintings in the halls of Cultural Fund and Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama simultaneously.
The exhibition will take place till January 9th, 2011.
